Dr. Hoo-min Toong
Hoo-min left his seat at MIT to join MIPS on the West Coast as a Director and General Manager until it was sold to Silicon Graphics.
While at MIT he was Professor of Electrical Engineering, Management and Computer Science. He has led dozens of technology development projects resulting in successful new product launches, including advising IBM as they pioneered their first personal computers. Hoo-min received his S.B., S.M., and PhD from MIT.
Hoo-min founded and directed several IT hardware and software companies in areas of graphics and multiprocessor systems. He also holds several software interconnection, data organization and visualization patents.
Dr. Toong is a co-founder of IPVision and focuses on high-technology and venture clients from his base in Silicon Valley.
