Patent Analytics Report on 2016 Lemelson-MIT Prize Award Winner - Dr. Ramesh Raskar

On September 13, 2016, the Lemelson-MIT Prize Program announced its $500,000 award to Dr. Ramesh Raskar of the M.I.T. Media Lab.

RaskarPhoto.pngDr. Raskar is Associate Professor of Media Arts and Sciences at the MIT Media Lab. He joined the Media Lab from Mitsubishi Electric Research Laboratories in 2008 as head of the Lab's Camera Culture research group. His research interests span the fields of computational photography, inverse problems in imaging, and human-computer interaction.

The Lemelson-MIT Prize is awarded to outstanding mid-career inventors who have developed products of process of significant value to society.

ReportThumbnail.pngIn 2015-2016 the Lemelson-MIT Program continued with the structured process first used in 2009-2010 to evaluate patents held by and related to the nominees.  This process builds upon IPVision's business perspective of patents and included patent analysis reports on each nominee's patents.

Given the high value found in inventive activity and the disclosures and innovation incented by the patent system, IPVision is authorized to release the report on Ramesh Raskar’s patents to the public.
